Mama still knows best
When helping move Saturday, I stopped by the Handipak and bought a pack
of smokes so I wouldn't run out. Somehow, Mama spots them on the
dashboard and picks them up, we have no idea what she intends to do
with them. After a few minutes of watching her when I could, It
seemed that she was looking for a place to dispose of them but had not
yet crushed them as I kinda expected. I finally walked over and asked
her to "let me have these, Mama", as she still clutched them in her
hand and was about to let go, she looks me in the eyes and says, "You
are dying too soon". I told her "I know Mama".
Anyway, today is my first effort to kick the habit. I finished the pack
in question and haven't bought another.

Byron, I didn't even know that you smoked! Good for you on quitting. It's worth getting the patches if you're having a hard time of it. We're cheering for you!
me too, bunny. i'm in your corner and cheering for your efforts to quit. a big step and you'll be so proud when you do. i'm glad mama talked you into quitting. she's at maggie's today. we spent the night in jigger after taking lee home and headed back to harrisonburg today where i dropped her at maggie's. had a cup of coffee with them. went to the apt and fed mardigras and changed his litter. now i'm on the job. will go by ridgecrest for another run this eveing. boy am i beat! love all.
this made made my day! i think i'll quit smoking too. and i dont even smoke. ha! ha! im gonna let shannon read this. he has been trying to quit since he and heather got the divorce.
ps the babies are with her for the summer. we were not going to let them go but she moved to monroe, away from her family. not perfect by far but soooooo much safer for the babies.
michael is talking to where you can understand what he says now. they were both doing so much better. i wonder just how much this summer will set them back.
shannon gets them for a week in june (19th-25th) and a week in july and 10 days before school starts. lydia was excited to see her mama. michael was apprehensive.
heather talked to michael on the phone and said "i'm so happy, youre coming home to be with mama for the summer!" michael answered her, "that's not my home, this is my home. i have my own room here and i live with my daddy."
i did feel just a teeny bit of sorry there. i would for anyone i guess.
anyway, love everyone
I would have felt a teeny bit proud too. big words for such a little guy.
yes, i was very proud. its always rewarding to rediscover that we made the right choices and this is where they find their security.
you better think again abt what mama told you, bunny. she meant every word.
