my pretty grandbaby, she makes me very proud.
We brought along all 10 tons of our old stuff and it fits right in with the new. With a little help from Debbie, who is an excelent and very fast decorator, then Lotus and Lydia, who added their touches in rearranging and placement and of course, us, who never quit moving things, we are in the process of making our unique blend of old & new.

the new entrance is impressive compared to the old one;
these roosters fm the redhouse were a great save. so glad byron got them bef we all relocated! they were hanging at the redhouse when i bought the place fm mary hawkins. :)
well worth the $100! i had it in my kitchen in centerville. you'll find it in many of the old pics fm that era. i esp like the one with me holding my first big catch of catfish over this table. :)
heh, he could fill it with a selection of chess books, no doubt.
this bed was daddy and mama's fm tyler. i passed it on to byron fm our backroom when he got his new place and we headed to our little apt. saw one identical ... just the head and foot board ... at a flea market in natchez just a week ago. rusted in much poorer shape than this one. $150. byron and kay added a new mattress set at more than double that price so curt's got himself a pricey bed now. :)
post me a link
i LOVE this new door. saw it at lydia's bef you picked it up and told her how gorgeous it was. very impressive now that you have it hung.
btw, i still have a couple of ceiling fans waiting for someone to hang for us. should help with our energy bills too, besides just keeping it cooler in the LR and BR.
we are good. mama is sleeping. lydia and jackie have gone to ohio for revival. she sd who knows, they could be gone a month. ouch!
love you all.
Yep, the door looks great. You managed the hinges okay, I see. It's in the details that real improvements are made. This one is very differentiating. From good to Great!
ceiling fans are easy, anyone with a screwdriver that can hold their hands above their head for 20 mins can do it.
well, i already busted a mirror i have $150 for (bought in tyler) trying to hold it over my head only long enough to get it hang, so that obviously leves me out. i can't se what i'm doing, hold something over my head, and manipulate it into place all at the same time, esp if i'm standing on something. the only able bodied man that was around here, raymond kelly jr, has moved his family to biloxi, soooooo. still hoping for someone to come visiting that can help out.
i am making room in my busy life to drop in for a few minutes (20).
yesterday i pulled and repaired the exhaust from kay's car which has had a hole in it since the trip (almost) to charles wedding. i hooked up an ice-maker, icy our first ever in our whole life (really), and i was called to work for a backed up drain pouring into the bar ceiling (3 hrs). today i only have to trim the lawn that i didn't do yesterday and do the grill work i haven't gotten around to. see ya.

Your new place is looking so great, even better than when we were there to visit. We are so happy that you have such a nice place to settle down in with your babies right next door. What a joy!
thank you and thank curtis so much for running by here and hanging both the ceiling fans yesterday. sooooooo much nicer last night and today with the little breeze stirred by the fans. mamabird and i appreciate it! we love you.
heh. we loved our ice maker while it was connected at ridgecrest. we don't use that much ice since our bottled water cooler keeps our water cold and we don't generally add ice to juice or drinks fm the fridge, consequently we still have abt a half a bucket of ice that came with us in the fridge fm when the icemaker was working bef the move! i did buy two ice trays to make ice and those are ready also for when we need it. maybe if we had a houseful of company we'd run out but so far, we're good. the ice maker is nice nice. make sure you have the water on if it isn't making! seems like mine filled up overnight and it was two to three times the size yours appears to be.
well...i'm not telling anybody.
har har har. our icemaker!
