have to unwind somehow. really happened a couple of weeks ago too. fire department hook & ladder, plus another engine, and a full evacuation for a storage closet fire. all because when they pulled the scaffolding out in the a.m., they threw everything over on the gas water heater. smoldered all day till around 3 o'clock and flamed up, filling the building with black smoke which had to be cleared out. it's just running up roof ladders, finding the fire on a dead run, fetching fire extinguishers, & choking on acrid fumes while expecting a $300 jug of freon to explode in yours and the fema rescue volunteers face any moment. try that on a slow day. :o)
Oh, this is fantabulous! Now perhaps I can steer my mate towards more creative energies where his Dead Electronics Collection is concerned. Thank you for the inspiration.
nothing says art better than useless clutter & creativity. A couple of old circuit boards, a battery clock kit and a few screws makes a fine clock too. put you mate to work :)

Don't do that. You may get rich someday. Look at all the money you have already saved in toys. :)

When I first looked at this picture, I was wondering "What's he making? That's a proto-board, but what's he cobbled together with all those caps?"
My guess was you were doing a filtering experiment, but then the title "engineering 101" didn't fit the complexity.
It wasn't until I was looking at other pictures that I finally realized this was a sculpture.
Dah, I'm just a bit slow, just a bit.....maybe more than a bit.
James
