nice work! you did an excellent job! hopefully i'll get over there in the next several days to see them up close (and to drop off anthony's curtains). looks great!
wine bottles or yarn maybe. it's made to slide in a mini-fridge. are you seeing my island yet? it's quite handy where it is though. kay stole my island, boo hoo.
oh yes! i walked around there specifically to take a closer look at it. loved it! first thing i mentioned to lydia when i got to her place. are those glass blocks that you used in the side windows? it looks awesome! nice work! really spiffies that entrance up.
The door is awesome. I'm a bit confused as to how you set the glass blocks. Did you build a new frame for them? I'll want a closer examination and explanation when you are home and we stop by. I really like the way the whole entrance is shaping up. I wonder what the sellers would think of all you and Kay have done to the place. Their loss!

the door jambs turned backward make the columns, the door facing makes the top & bottom trim.

what a cutie pie darling! also, my fave dessert, ice cream!
those look great!

i like how you turned the furniture too!
yeah, it looks better. i don't have Feng Shui, though. I'm not supposed to sit with my back to the door, :)
Looks familiar. Table saw, lumber strewn about, mitre saw, a mess with which to make magic ...
okay, when I get to work I'll just look at reversed door jams. Just kidding, great tip.
very nice
Somehow you failed to get the columns in this pic. Distracted?
A precursor to tax time? Which one....?
Awesome!
Well they are so inspired now I wouldn't be surprised to be reading poetry turned out by them soon. Great job.
Who cares about feng shui. Do what works. Feng Shiu is a marketing ploy for designers who can't get a regular job.
how's this for feng shui? i'll balance it out later.
looks nice!
Purty!
the babies have discovered that this cabinet from H.D. makes a great space for their stuff. sorry, i bought the last one, it is now out of stock.
Very nice. Great crayon cabinet.
those angled slots are great for cookbooks, or children's books, as the case may be. :)
very nice! i really like that cabinet!

3x12 glass block to match the glass in the door lydia gave us for a house warming present.
Love it! How do you choose shutter color? Do you try and go with the color of the roof? My mothers home has a green roof.? Any Ideas?

I like the idea of matching some of the foilage in the plantings; http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/neweng/msg0713321131876.html?19
but really, the list is endless, and only has to please your mom, if she likes pink, do it in pink.
personally, i'd try a shade of green, or check this color wheel; http://paintandwallpaper.bobvila.com/Article/47.html
