The reply box here converts the fake html as true html so I deleted as it wasn't clear.
To make a string showing the hidden html signs < begin and >close tags you have to use & lt; (all together with no space) for begin >
and use & gt; (again, remove the space) for end >. I did that & it converted to show all the greater than less than tags. When you do that it will come out as plain text

like so: <a href="http://quenidalee.multiply.com/"><quins site</a>

and that wriiten in html comes out Quinns Site
