hound dog, or buttercup, depending on who's introducing him.
Darrell rescued this one starving from an abandoned shack.
Took me 2 1/2 months from start to finish, Kay called it my experimental room, but it turned out well. Much of the material used here is scraps, discarded, and leftovers, saved with a vision. The marble tile is over ten years old, some of the paint is about 8, Trim, pieces of the past.
Borrowed heavily from my experiences in the antiquities, It's a one-of-a-kind teaster tub, as in teaster bed.
Curt's old blue bedroom gets the overflow as the new guest room.

Everything looks really good. The change is quite dramatic in the bathroom. I like the what you did with the tub, and the vanity is beautiful. Very nice.
We'll have to come make use of it all.
Hello, Buttercup.
tempered safety glass, i hope!
it all looks great
beautiful vanity.
lithograph is limited and numbered. rare find. mirror compliments too.
down lighting beats up lighting when you're going blind like us old fogies!
all nice.
so darrell has that artist gene too!? great!
looks like curt has moved in already. lol
i like the wall color
Yes, I don't know how I manage to "find" these things *smile* thanks sis.
laminated safety glass with sanded & polished edges. this cost me a lot more than I expected to pay at $35 each, but the krinkle glass panel he threw in for nothing made it feel much better.
All three boys can draw most anything a hundred times better than me. Darrel has very good perspective and can blow up a small image by hand with accuracy. Curtis likes doing cars, deer, and cowboy stuff. Anthony has the added ability to see hues and use color and has offered to do the job.
I just fill in the blanks with paint.
Its his for as long as he needs it. Outgrown the little room and way too much stuff, We brought most, but not all in here.
The room has an overly masculine look and feel to it on purpose, but it can be transformed pretty quickly into a gender neutral or softer tone for the girls. (take down the possum hides and such)
The color in the old room is Sherwin Williams "Refuge".
Of course, the type of girl he's looking for may like it this way.
love what you did with the doors.
your a master of all no doubt.
dittos on the beautiful vanity
shouldn't be too hard to find down here. so many of the girls and women i know love to hunt and fish, love hides and horns. in fact i'm growing pretty fond of them myself. i'll have to come see your handiwork sometime. i finally got home night before last. everything looks good.
Yep, a visit would be nice. Boys are scattered to the ends of the earth, Christmas is just a memory, and I watched a movie about a dog with cancer starring Sherman Hemsley as a reformed mean old man with a happy ending.
I wonder/worry about my sisters too. Now what? ....Chest out, stomach in, chin up.
For the most part, yes. Christmas is for the babies, always has been, always will be. Daddy and mama knew that, which is why it grieved them so much when they had no one to share that holiday love and celebration with.
No matter how poverty touched our hearth, I tried to make sure christmas still came to my babies one way or another. Learned that fm the parents, whose many sacrifices over the years taught me the importance of the giving of gifts and merry making as the year came to its end, the importance of the laughter of children, and the joy to be gained just from the happiness of babies amidst the holiday cheer. Many memories of christmas and christmas sacrifices under the tree over the years courtesy of the mamabird and the daddy of the whole bunch.
My Jane told me on Christmas Eve, "I LOVE presents!! --So adorable. I will travel to see them in a few days and then it will be christmas in my heart with children and grandchildren in my arms -- and that too I learned fm mama and daddy.
i know what you mean. seriously.
yes christmas is just a memory for me as well along with many other memories. some happy, some sad some so very very glad. i understand how life goes on. for me it is best not to stop and stagnate among the happy things that were but to think of them in fondness and go on. so not to worry about me, i am very, very busy as always but doing well. i still have my babies and grand-babies. so far life is what it has always been for us. we live, we love, we have and have had many fond memories together. love and best wishes to all.
