Cooler temperatures aside, the Alexandria zoo decorations and the sights were a treat for some of the residents of Camelot Leisure Living Nursing Home. This is just one of the many activies that Kay plans throughout the year. She is one busy lady.
All of these are great, but some are just beautiful. The nature shots are particularly nice. I will revisit them shortly. Do you have any zoomable ones?
Yes, the nature shots are great, and all but one of them are uploaded in full resolution. Unless Multiply has boo-booed things up again, they should all have the zoom button at the top of the photo, like this one: hi-res

Funny that we should both pick out the same setting! I was thinking that I'd have to visit this spot on every trip to the Alec zoo. It seem tranquil and serene. Only there might be a gator lurking, for which I'd be intently peering. Maybe a few turtles and frogs could be spied. All in all, a lovely setting.
I was trying to find a name for this critter, so, thanks for the tip. They have the scientific names posted at these places, I bet. Tapirus terrestris.
I remembered both the name and the animal as soon as you mentioned it. I just couldn't get it in my head before then, even though I've seen tapirs at several zoos. I surely didn't know they were born with and lost their 'baby stripes' like fawns lose their spots!
Sentinel? Yes, it was in black & white though, and the lady standing in front of the tree isn't visible at all. It was also submitted to the democrat(by yours truly), we haven't seen that one. Last Sunday's edition...we think, maybe, somebody, said.
