Another album

What interests a child? Sometimes it is the simplicity of life.
I would that we could all see things this clearly.

They are very good considering who did them. Some of them are extremely interesting shots.

I love how those roses fade darker instead of lighter.

I'm not sure what this is, I'll have to ask. It looks like roots in a jar, definitely water spots.

A gift from Adrian.

This really tells me to MOVE the 4th of July that I planted last year in the back yard. It is entirely too close to my new deck-in-progress. This one must go on the fence. lol

Everything I read says it grows 8-14 feet, this must be while camping out nearby with a machete.

Lotus Dale said...

lol. 8-14 in eac direction, maybe--and then some!

The roses on this 4th of July are these:

Byron, the drake elm that I need moved is in the backyard. When you head into the gate, it is the second elm straight in front of you. I stuck the spade and the sharpshooter in the ground at its base as well as a couple of stakes. The first one is the larger of the two, but that one is not in a bothersome location. Since I'm doing some rearranging in the back, the second one will have to be moved so you are definitely welcome to it.

I had three in the back and three in the front. Anthony got one of the backyard elms. In the front is the very large one in front of the porch as well as two on the other side of the drive. One on the other side was lawnmowered but is coming back. The other one is recognizable.

I got all of these at the same time. The largest one has had the benefit of compost fed to that bed it is in and some water hose attention in dry spells. The others have had to adjust on their own. Tells us to give that tree a bit of compost occasionally to make it happy. lol

I'm off next week, so I'll be working hard tackling my fall gardening list.

I have it planted already, along with a bit of mondo that came up with the tea rose I moved to the front bed.

Jack Russell terrier... a girl, abt 1 yr of age. House trained already, leash trained but hasn't been leashed in abt 3 months, they sd. She comes right up to it tho and lets me leash her. She lets me know when she wants to go outside, so that's good. I can leash her and take her out to do her business. She is a bit iffy abt MardiGras, who is a bit iffy abt her as well. If MardiGras growls under his breath, she will get back in the crate and stay there. If MardiGras doesn't growl abt her, she'll timidly come up and touch noses, which MardiGras reluctantly allows/returns, so I think they'll be able to be friends with a little time. Too rainy today to try her for a walk, but I hope to manage that daily before the week is out. At least she has leaned the crate is her bed and she seems to appreciate it. I'll take pics of her later, after I charge some camera batteries.

Jack Russells look like this and this (she's older than the pups in these first two pics, and she has more black on her than the older pup but otherwise much the same):

She and MardiGras are abt the same size actually. Both of her parents are registered and she was registered too but they can't find the papers. lol --gift fm the maples, actually.

You can cal her Jackie Russell

Jack Russells are wonderful little dogs. Enjoy her.

I hope she turns out to be a good addition to our household. I don't think I've ever met a jack russell before. I couldn't remember anything but that it was a two-word guys name kinda terrier when byron was by, but several hrs later I remembered, 'oh yeah, jack russell.' Had to write ti dn so I wouldn't forget again. My memory isn't what it used to be.

I thought of that too! but actually i am undecided so far on a name. they were calling her nellie, but that's pete and hil's pups name, so I don't want that confusion going on. right now i'm just calling her 'girl'--lol.
