Baby Sitting Journal_Day 2

Didn't lay Payton's clothes out last night so he woke me this morning. TERRIBLE!!! I couldn't rest anymore afterward, though I tried hard. I won't do that again. Never-the-less, so far so good! ...Well almost. Bad news first. Payton brought home an envelope today addressed to his parents. The note in it read_ owes $8000. Expense of broken window. The hand writing looked legit but the amount didn't. April fools, he said. :) He wanted to be a day early so it would seem more real. Of course he really got his Dad good with that one! :)
Homework went fine. He's gonna ace the spelling.
He came home with a fresh scent of chips and chip dust on his mouth. Where'd you get the chips, I ask just trying to engage him. _"Well, it went like this", he says, " I forgot to take a snack and, and the teacher said, here you can have these chips!" I was amazed at the thought put into such a lame sentence. I looked at him with that ' I know better look' and said, "Are you gonna fib right here in front of God and everybody? You know he sees you every minute." By this time I was wishing I hadn't ever ask him but it was too late since I already had. He grinned shyly and said, "Blake gave them to me on the bus and that's the truth!" Well then why didn't you just say that the first time. Then I dropped it, cause I wasn't sure at all what the mystery was, or why there was a mystery, and the ordeal seemed to be more than I wanted to deal with. I had already mentioned the 'all seer' and that was enough to awaken his sense of moral and I could only hope that was enough for lesson #1.

It was a much prettier day today. Brad took the kids outside to play on the trampoline a little while. Then he played card games with Payton. Payton says, "this is a good day. It's always good to spend time with your family, right Dad?"
For the second night I lay down with him for bed time or else I hear an incessant, "MEHMAW COMEMEER!!!" My nerves can't take it and neither can my heart. He tells me he loves me everyday and I'm walking in tall cotton when he does. I love that kid.
He's still missing you even though I'm here. Imagine that!

Paris_ was good all day again. So, so sweet, she is! She chatters on and on and giggles like it's the best story ever. And of course it is, cause shes telling it! I laugh at her and she laughs and chatters some more. Oh, how I love that! Of course she says a lot of stuff you `can understand and I find it quite hillrious when she bleeps out one of her favorites, "Holy Cow!"
Brad was singing to her, lalalalalalah, while Paris mimics his every sylable. She is such a doll! I love her sweet little voice. Her giggles are endearing.
She loves me dearly until her Dad comes home, then it's Dadee!!!
She fell on something again today and got a bruise on her ear but she doesn't carry on any longer than she has too. It's not severe though, just a little bruise. She cried like her feelings were hurt. She had her Barney and I'm not sure if she didn't think Barney did it. She kept looking at him and crying hurtful tears. She forgot it though because they were once again best of friend, as usual. I don't think you could have done better than getting her that before you left. She absolutely loves him. This morning first thing she gathered up all her stuffed toys and put them together on the bed. So cute! But inevitably it's Barney she drags around all day.
Showed her the pic of you on the phone and she still recognizes you. Mommy! she says. Brad told her you went bye-bye on the boat. Shes waving to you on the phone and saying, bye-bye! Bye-bye! No, She didn't cry... really., Until I brushed her teeth. Then she didn't want me to put her to bed. She didn't like me anymore.
Steam fried chicken and potaotes w/greenbeans for supper.
