reception

had a good time at bubba & melissa's reception last night. there was family , friends, and food for days. aaron was jovial and entertaining as always, as was jackie. i enjoyed bro hitt's conversation, he seems very down to earth. i don't know why that always surprises me that preachers are not just ministers, they also have a wide range of intelligence and engaging personalities. bro johnnie carroll talked of his travels and places he's been to, makes you wish that someday you could do the same but for the joy of leisure, not evangelizing. jen is still as pretty as ever and good company , sis betty said she was not doing well but didn't elaborate. there were many others and faces that were both familiar and new. there are no strangers in these gatherings, everyone knows someone.
as usual we were running late and i failed to grab my camera on my way out the door, so we will have to look forward to when jackie can plug in and post some pictures for us. the couple looked very happy, and we hope for them a very long time of marital bliss, and all the other great stuff that is part of the package if one can weather the storms. many happy days for them is my wish.

Thank You for your sweet words. Aaron was for sure in a mood! ;o) We loved your home....so beautiful!! And loved the yard everything was so pretty.Wish we could have seen the grandbabies.Maybe next time.
As well as Aunt Lotus and Grandma. The reception was beautiful and the food was great.Esp that Brocolli stuff some sweet sould made. :o) I am kidding I didn't eat that much of it. Payton was a cutie as always. He came down to my brothers which is about a mile from Uncle Jackies. So he enjoyed looking at the pigs and horses & goats. He fed the goats. Ok I don't know if you wanted all of these comments but there they are. ;) I could say a lot more...or type a lot more...but I am tired so I am going to bed now... Love to all! We need to have a family reunion at Uncle Byron and Aunt Kayes place...its perfect for ball and stuff..not that I would get my fat butt out there and play. Buttt Anyway "Good Night & Good Luck"

I am not spell checking either.. :o)

we like comments. we're flattered that y'all liked the place and we certainly have plenty of yard space for a gathering..horse shoes, croquet, or dominoes maybe for us slower old(er) folks.

Ronnie wants to know if we can have one (a reunion) this year any time between May and October (June thru Sept). I told her my kids are having a baby boy in early July so doubtful they will be traveling in June or July and most folks would rather not be outdoors in August in this part of the country which leaves only an early early Sept weekend unless we count them out. I also told her I think Byron and Kay are game for having it on their large, beautiful property next time up and folks like Jim can go fishing since their yard is on the river bank.

Okay guys, that's my part of all this: relaying the message! haha. I'll bring a dish or two and gma. Ya'll decide on the yes or no and the dates and whatevers. :)

haha heard that before!

can always have it back at lydia's church if you really don't want the family to gather at yr place. ours is too small and finances these days don't permit me to rent a place like i did at tyler for all of us. that was sure a nice gathering place! but your place is nice too, if you and kay are up to a reunion there. (if ya'll plan one for july i'll be off to see my grandbaby boy being born though.)

p.s. i thought you and curtis were the welders!??
