Back to Basics

No lack of things to do to around here. Kay helped with the flat fixing last night, there was no fussing either(infamous 3 f's). Best Saturday nite date she's ever had, she says.

and maybe a couple rotating attic vents which run about 40 bucks a piece, on the roof for added ventilation to keep the air from working so hard.

Would do this in a minute if I could find a timer that fits.
New timer: $125, element: $50. Bi-metal(thermodisc) $12 + tax. Not worth the fix for a '96 model.
I've temporarily shorted the element this evening so it can be used. Quite sure I've seen universal spring elements for restringing some where.
I could, if pressed, add a manual timer.

not far from the tree

That's what the a/c guy said when I told him the square footage

Yes. First I changed the broken attic vent motor, then I cleaned the evap coil.
Seems the previous owners changed the outside without changing the inside creating a mismatch.
