Nice job on the parade video, but the music makes me cry. Float looks great. Didn't the seniors get to ride or it was too cold for them? Tell Kay her float was the best, hands down! Hope she won. She definitely should have.

Ahh, nothing like a really, really small town parade.

I agree with Lotus. Great job on the video, 1st place winner, nostalgic music, AND a hot beauty queen wavin' from that Camelot Leisure Living float..

It received first place in small float category in Ferriday, with Concordia Bank taking the big float category. I do not know the details of the Vidalia parade, except Concordia Bank won again. I never saw the float, as maybe the video shows I kept ahead of Camelot's float and missed the second half of the line-up. The paper said there were tractors, 4-wheelers, cars (I saw a few) and more.

Congrats! Well deserved!

The van following was for the residents. Ordinarily, there are only one or two ambulatory residents that ride the float each year, and employees and their kids fill the float.
The resident that rode in Ferriday was more interested in his favorite TV show than a parade Sunday.
There wasn't a lot of participation this year, a matter that didn't please the Administrator, Kay's boss, very much.
Some had sick kids, shopping, and otherwise last minute change of heart.
His boss, the facility owner, was at the parade and expressed his concern too, of course, reprimands after the fact doesn't do much good.
Maybe next year.

I hope Kay won and the music was perfect with the video.

Yes, took first place on the smaller parade. The karaoke machine on the float was playing a Christmas cd by George Strait,
one of the reasons for using the song.

They have to send out notices or make announcements like our dean that says 'mandatory' or "I EXPECT ALL to be there..." That's why I have to go to all the graduations and funky xmas parties--the dean "EXPECTS" us to be there. Consequences, whether you can foresee them or not.

They could tell them mandatory representation for x # fm each dept or such (cna, lpn, rn, etc...) and let the depts sort it out who will be there on which day.
