It's a grand place. Did the new owner buy this one as well? Any changes with the new ownership?

Byron @ said...

No changes in ownership. The deals, if any, did not go through. Some suspect inside bids, me, I don't know.

Couldn't really capture the entire room. It is uphostered from top to bottom :)

Green with gold leaf. A new camera is on my wish list. You can get some fairly good ones for under a hundred bucks.
About anything beats my 3,2mp 3x digital zoom.

We could exchange wish lists since a new camera is on my too. lol. Seems our lists are identical for the same reason.

Shoulda known the deal wouldn't go thru. It was suspect fm the get-go. jeez.

Upholstererd walls in the privy? wow! Whyat were they thinking?

Ms Godbold, owner of the frogmore plantation, had a bed exactly like this one.

This one came with the house when he purchased it 3 years ago, so I don't know it's history.
Some of these types of fixtures are reproductions, some are originals. In either case, they are not cheap.
Even the reproductions are valuable, costing thousands of $$. You have a nice find.

hmm, could be. It's the grand ballroom, used for weddings, social gatherings, dining hall, or meetings.
I don't like how they put these chairs in a circle, some clown thinks it's a nice set-up for showing. It looks like
a knights of columbus throw back.

Half-teaster $30,000.
