Currier, Ives,, and Twizzlers

I am done building cabinets. This one makes up the butlers pantry.
For lack of something to put in it for the pictures, I am responsible for the currier&ives jug Kay doesn't like, the ducks, and the mason jar with twizzlers for color. Little highlighting to do but otherwise complete.

I love currier & ives. it is lovely. i'm sure Kay will enjoy it. takes a lot of work but it's worth it.

Absolutely beautiful! I love the beadboard going on too. The pot lights are a great addition to the cabinet. I guess there is just nothing you can't do. The whole kitchen is to die for!

I know but it looks like it was worth it.

This piece maybe isn't so lovable. I found it at a junk shop with a couple of chips in the rim. I liked it $5 worth though.

That's something we talked about for six years and it's done, ...finally.
A little self-serving laziness was involved because of the existing wallboard going 3/4 way around the room.

U can only thank God for that after all the hard work having gone on in the entire room.

I am still thinking of the valance for the bedroom. I'll be going home again sometime around friday or saturday.
I'm hoping to find the spreads I have (I'm thinking I have 2) but they are slightly different shades. I'm thinking bleaching both then tea dying them, or dye them the rose color you have in the curtains. But first I need to see if I still have them and if they are what you want.

Okay, and I thought you were dispassionate about my idea. Now I am thinking I might build an even larger valance :)

It all looks great, Bro.
I know the kind of work involved in these projects. You can be proud of it. I know Kay is.

The whole room has a completely renewed atmosphere. I would be surprised if this isn't the room you spend the most time in. It clearly has a warmth about it.

Proud of you.

naw, I just can't talk and think at the same time anymore. :) i actually like some of those displays you showed me. Just didn't have enough time to look and see which ones i liked the best.

Byron @ said...

Yep, both. It is and was her dream though, I'm just the carpenter.

I like it already. I've added a quick doodle for stimulation :) --->

I just have to decide on inney or outty. (hidden or exposed valance).

P.S. I work Saturday, be home in the evening.

I was liking the outties. You do such good work that it'd be ashamed not to keep you working. In fact the outties are what sold me on the project.

Very frustrated at not finding but one spread of the kind you wanted. It is only regular size as well, so not nearly as much fabric as I thought. Some times you can find them at flea sales or thrift stores. I'll still wag it over. May drop it off on Wednesday since we'll be coming thru for another doctor visit in Hattiesburg. He had cataract lens surgery redone because the lens was sitting middle ways to the eyeball. Now he is up for a chk-up. He's got blood shot and a black eyes from the surgery and blurred vision. Don't have any idea if that is normal. Didn't happen the first time around. Second time was a different doctor. :/

:^( . Might cab do something with it anyway. Hope Jack's eye improves.

Thanks,
I'll bring along a couple of other spreads that I have laying around here too_ just in case. Otherwise they'll go in the garage sale. Supposed to have their yrly town garage sale around here the weekend. It'll be a good chance for me to get rid of some stuff. Or pick some up if you happen to have a couple extra dollars and time to ride the town.
