Projects

The beginnings.

Can't afford new furniture? Make some.
A couple of 8' porch posts, plywood, and some 1xs make a formal headboard. The overhead valance was made mostly from leftovers from other projects. Some corner blocks and a couple of fence finials complete the half teester look of the 1800's early 1900.
The bath cabinet was an Arkansas flea market find, homemade doors and towel bar finish it up.

It doesn't fit in the room? I'm wondering if the value would be cut a few inches as well. Mine only has blood & sweat value. One day it may become sentimental.

And Curtain Lady too!

Jen, sometimes you can buy some really ugly ones cheap at the flea sale.and redo it up real nice. If you find one that need reupholstering, I probably have some upholstery fabric that will work for ya.

You did a good job on getting that bow just right. I was impressed with that when I visited. I know it took a little elbow to make it work like you wanted it too. Worth it though!

Yes, a sweet, sweet job, and worth all the admiration afforded it.
He is getting as good as his brother.

Good enough for who it's for always applies. This one's all for me.

Charles Cirilo said...

Well you did a fine job for yourself.

Each project gets a little more detail. I am now quite proud of the newly revamped laundry room and entrance. Wrapping it up now with baseboard.
Plumbing attack later.
